The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the timetable for this year final examinations, warning candidates and parents against individuals claiming to have access to examination papers before they are officially released.

A total of 1,620,785 candidates are expected to sit for the final examinations.

Odongo urged candidates and schools to carefully verify candidates’ personal details, including names, dates of birth and photographs, to avoid errors that could affect the certification process.

He said candidates have a 60-day period to check and confirm their details, running from August 7 to October 7, 2026.

“You are advised to check your particulars in time, Odongo said.

He also cautioned candidates and parents against fraudsters who claim to possess examination papers before their official release.

Odongo said such claims are intended to deceive the public and urged candidates not to fall victim to people seeking money in exchange for purported examination papers.

UNEB also reminded schools to ensure that candidates submit their project work on time, noting that the work contributes 20% to learners final assessment.

The examination body said it will continue to prioritise security, credibility and fairness throughout the examination process to ensure that all candidates are assessed under the same conditions.
